    Mapping datafields

    Hi,

I've heard that K2 datafields can be mapped to a source i.e. a field in a SQL table. This allows for datafields to be automatically updated whenever the mapped field in SQL has been edited. This is extremely useful when you have over 50 datafields. Can anyone please point me to any help on this,  or tell me how this is done.

    Thanks.

    Re: Mapping datafields

    Hi,

It depends on when and from whom you've heard it.  Are you running K2.net 2003 or K2 [blackpearl]?

In K2.net 2003, I'm not aware of such a dynamic update - may be wrong of course.  In K2 [blackpearl] it is definitely possible but it does have a fairly steep learning curve.

    Regards,

    Ockert

    Re: Mapping datafields

Thanks for the reply Ockert. I actually heard about it at the Blackpearl technical launch. They had a short demo on it as well. It will obviously benefit us in that all data will then be stored externally and the K2  blackpearl datafields are all mapped to its corresponding fields in our custom tables.

    Regards.
