Hi

 I work for a company in SA, and we promised two processes to our biggest client in Blackpearl, to go live soon after the RTM release.

My problem is that I'm having trouble installing Blackpearl, but have no logical place to search for and ask questions. Apparently there is a Beta 2 forum, but I can't see it.

What do I do to get access to it?

There definitely are forums available, but it seems we need to be explicitly granted access.  I have already asked for this to happen, but in the meantime, I'm also currently building a solution using BlackPearl beta 2 and am happy to share experiences if you like.

 I'm struggling with the configuration, at the setting service account and workflow administrator accounts step. It keeps telling me 'Logon for service user domain\user failed'. The user is a service user with a password that never expires, and is part of the Domain Admin, and IIS_WPG groups. I even tried my own user account, to no avail. The user is a admin on the machine.

There isn't any errors in the Event Viewer for K2, so I have no idea what to do.

 I ran into the same issue and it seems that the service account had a corrupt SID.

I managed to fix it by dropping the user and adding the user again and all seemed to be fine. Start by making the user just a member of "Domain Admins" and "IIS_WPG" and see what the Configuration gives you?

 If you still get an error, it may be something to do with SQL rights so make the user a member of the SQL Security Groups.

 If you could post back and let me know if that solved your issue and at what stage?

I created a totally new user, and made him a Domain Admin and IIS_WPG member. I also made him a sysadmin on SQL, but it still gives me the same error: Logon for service user domain\k2svrusertest failed.

The VPC is on the work domain, not it's own private one, but that shouldn't be relevant should it?

The only thing I can think of (if you haven't already done this) is that you may need to check the "Log on as service rights" in the group policy editor.

Granting this right is one in the Local Security Settings control panel applet.  Under User Rights assignment.
