Question on Open and OpenWorklistItem methods

It is said in the K2.net training materials that the Open Method can be called with or without a user name. And that once a connection to the server has been opened, everything will be done in the context of the user which opened the connection. So supposing I set a user name & password to the Open method connection, does that mean if I call the OpenWorklistItem method later on, it will open the worklist of the user which opened the connection?

What if I want my windows service to open the worklist item of another user and not the one who opened the connection? Is this possible? Because if it's not, then why does OpenWorklistItem method still have a parameter for the username if it's already understood that it will open the worklist of the user who opened the connection?
