I geet the following error when I call my standard reports from the workspace:

My reporting services and sql ser ver is ona aseperate machine from k2.

The reports work perfectly fine from SSRS, but not from the workspace.

I have seen this issue sporadically in an environment where Workspace is load-balanced.

It seems to be due to Workspace calling out to SSRS, with affinity not set correctly. 
Thus, it isn't always the same NLB node hosting the Workspace session and the Report.

Do you have load-balanced K2?

My workspace is not load balanced. 

I have done an upgrade to the latest version on my development environment.  I am not sure if the upgrade effected the reports. 

I have done a clean install of the lestest Blackpearl version on my live environment and there I do not have problems.

When i have time, I can try to reconfigure my development environment.

Just some questions here.

Does the SSRS process overview work if you access it from a remote client to the SSRS web site? Or does it only work if you access it locally from the server itself?

Was this working before doing your upgrade?  Also what version are you upgrading from and upgrading to?

Also how is your SSRS web site configured? Is it a standalone web site or clustered?

Thanks for the reply.  It does seem to be a kerberos problem.

I can load my reports in SSRs on my local machine and SSRS impersonates fine to k2.

I can load the workspace with the right user name showing and kerberoes working fine.

When I load the workspace on the server, the reports work fine, but when I load the workspace on my local machine everything work apart from the reports. 

SSRS is configured as a standalone web site.

I was running on SP1 and everything was working on the same accounts.  I then upgraded to the latest version 4.8075.1.0 and that is when I started getting these problems.

My k2 AppPool account is setup with contrained delegation to impersonate to SSRS.  SSRS does have the correct SPN's and the metabase entry for my SSRS web site is setup with "Negotiate,NTLM".

I will double check my kerberos configuration, but I do not spot any problems.

 

 

I am not sure on how this works, but it seems to be something to do with the reports session.

When I take the url that I get from the warning in the evetlog and caal it from the server, it gives me the same error:

The ReportSession parameters is the one that appears in the error message:

Not sure if this helps, or if it is simply kerberos issues.  I can't find any problems with my kerberos setup.

 

I saw somebody had this error before.  They resolved it by:

1. Making sure the connection string for the blackpearl datasource in SSRS was configured with the correct server name.
2. Adding the app pool service account to the content manager SSRS role.

 

In every case I have seen lately, if SSRS is on a separate box from K2, I have had to configure Constrained Delegation.

While it "should" be sufficient to enable "allow to delegate to any service", I have simply not seen this work with SSRS.

I strongly encourage you to configure Constrained Delegation, following the Kerberos Whitepaper (http://www.k2underground.com/files/folders/technical_product_documents/entry21001.aspx).

Constrained delegation is recommended if you are running in a native 2003 AD domain for security reasons.

 However I am pretty sure it is not a pre-requisite.  My team have done quite a few successful distributed setups where they are running mixed mode domains so they have to use unconstrained delegation.

I also have done many blackpearl and blackpoint setups locally in lab environments where I use unconstrained delegation and it works fine.

 I noted in some cases, I had to reboot the servers the get it working right.  You also need to make sure the SPNs are replicated across the DCs if the domain has multiple domain controllers.
