    Dynamically setting a destination user

    1. Is there any way to dynamically set a destination user in a workflow?

The destination user could be based upon a field in a form, originator (e.g. the originator’s manager as defined in AD) or could be dependent on conditions defined in a line rule. More information regarding Destination Users and Destination Rules can be found in the K2[blackpearl] documentation (installed with K2[blackpearl])

    • White paper: K2[blackpearl] Roles and Advanced Destination Rules (http://k2underground.com/files/folders/20948/download.aspx)

    2. Where do you specify the user in the "Users can be specified at runtime" feature?

This is mentioned in the K2[blackpearl] documentation (ms-help://SourceCode.Help/K2Blackpearl/Reference_-_K2_Web_Designer_for_SharePoint_-_Destinations.html) . More specifically is states: “If the check box is selected no destination users need to be specified for the specific activity in the workflow process. The destination user is specified when a process is associated with a document in the task list at runtime”

     Hope that helps.

    Sláinte!
