Many of our users are frequently traveling and do not have easy access to the Internet. Is it possible to update a work flow request (accept / deny) via email from a handheld device (i.e. Blackberry)? If so, can comments from the email also be inserted back into the K2 work flow?

Yes there are several examples I know of where companies do some level of this. Take a look at the attached doc for a basic example
