    Re: Coonection /Configuration/Authentication problem

    Hi Simba,

Did you validate the product license?

Also, you have to be sure that the server is listening to that port, here's a sample on my machine:

    C:\>netstat -an | find "5252"
      TCP    0.0.0.0:5252           0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING

Last thing to keep in your mind that you need to execute the K2 Service in console mode and read the executable dump, in the command prompt "cmd.exe" run the following default executable path of K2BP:

    C:\> "c:\program files\k2 blackpearl\Host Server\Bin\K2HostServer.exe"

    HI Saleh ,

     Thanx for the reply ,

I do have a valid licence n has been validated (as described on the portal site). if there is any other way or process for validating then just lemme know.

I m on the client machine not on the server (as the server crashed very recently) and i tried your supplied command on the command prompt for port listening but no output was shown (not even any error )

and the second command i tried but i think that also is for the server as that exe was'nt found on my machine and as i told u it has crashed down.... n will take time....

so can i have any other valuable suggestions from you ...

Thanx a lot again in advance

    Re: Coonection /Configuration/Authentication problem

The license validation can be done using either the K2 Workspace or by running the K2HostServer process.

All the hints given earlier are server-related, so it won't be useful if you're looking to solve client issues. However, I am not pretty much sure about your case but it seems that there is a problem in the K2 Service "server-side issue".

Please review the following checklist and let me know for any further assistance:

    1. You have to be sure about the K2 Service to be up and running on the server and no firewall or blockage is interfering. "All hints to guide you regarding this matter are given earlier in my previous reply".
    2. From the client side, check that the port/process to be opened in the Firewall as well as the Anti-Virus (if any).
    3. Check the Windows Event Viewer in both machines for any error.
