What to do with Code Modules

I want to rebuild a simple K2.net 2003 Process in K2 Blackpearl. In K2.net 2003 the developers made extensive use of Code Modules. All the business logic is in the Database, and the Code Modules are used in every Server - and Client Event.

I want to explore the following possibilities:  a.) Rebuilding the Process, without using smart objects, b.) Design & Build the Process with SmartObjects.

I want to focus on a.) for now.

Are code modules supported in K2 Black Pearl ?

If so, are code modules a best practice ?

Is there a better way of solving this,.. without the Use of a smart object ?

    Hi Eckard,

The idea would be to replace the code module with an external assembly and reference that in your process.  For some more info, have a look at: http://k2underground.com/forums/thread/19646.aspx

Ok, makes sense. Do you maybe have an Example Project which will help me in the right direction ?

FYI... I just wanted to add to this thread now that K2 blackpearl SP 1 has been released.  SP1 introduces the Project References Wizard button onto the process design canvas in Visual Studio.  See attached screenshot for exact location of the button.
