    K2 Blackpearl on Vista

    Hi,

    I am trying to install the K2 blackpearl client components on Vista, however the install does not pick up the fact that .Net Framework 3.0 is installed.

    Any suggestions

    Regards

    Hi Chris,

    The current betas are not tested on Vista yet.  See this thread for more information.

    Edit Product.config in your installation and delete

    <Dependency name="Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0" guid="{15095BF3-A3D7-4DDF-B193-3A496881E003}" featurename="" featureguid="" version="">
       </Dependency>

    from

    <BPVS2005CLIENT

    or anything else you need to install

    Re: K2 Blackpearl on Vista

    Hi,

    When I installed it on Vista Enterprise I did not have Visual Studio 2005 Extensions for Windows Workflow Foundation. As this is a requirement this was listed in red as well as the Framework 3.0 stuff. However, after installing the extensions the Configuration Manager picked up that everything was installed and completed successfully.

    I'm not sure what could be different on my setup, but it worked.

    Haven't tested any of the functionality yet, but the setup completed.

    saw exactly the same behaviour, JohanL.

    the guess of a novice: the false negative reported for fw 3.0 is being ignored in the wizard flow logic but still appears in the ui, so when other prereqs are resolved it just fades away into sweet silence.
