    Proxy Approval Best Practices

What are the best practices for allowing one department (for example Marketing) to act as a proxy for another department (Executive Team) when it comes to approving / denying a request?

    Thanks.

I dont know that there are any hard and fast best practices for this.  I would imagine the best practices are security and logging in nature so that you can always tell who interacted with the process and approved etc.  With regards to process design, I can not think of anything.  Anyone else out there done something like this and have tips to share?

We build on-behalf of functionality into processes and store the person who is the original approver in a datafield, if the final approver is different, we write out "xyz approved on behalf of yxz".
