We are currently evaluating options to implement a workflow where:

1. initially a work item is created manually

2. Mulitple documents are attached and profiled to this item

3. At the discretion of a user with approver credentials the work item is approved and passed on to a different department where again documents can be attached and the item can be approved and forwarded to the next department.

4. In addition good visibility and reporting on the status of the different items + end user configurable notifications and alerts are required.

 

Is this something where K2 can add significant value compared to custom development?
