    What are the possible root cause of having duplicate entries/Worklist Item.

    Hi K2 Friends,

    Hope you could help me with my problem here.

    What are the possible root cause of having duplicate entries/Worklist Item with the same Details and Timestamp and what could possibly resolve this.

    First, are you running K2.net 2003 (which SP) or K2 [blackpearl]?

    Where do you see this duplicate items?

    Can you maybe give us a screenshot of the problem?

    First of all thanks a lot Ockert for the quick response.Smile

    I am using SP4, the duplicate item is quite intermittent that's why I want to know what could possibly causing this.

    Based from my observation duplicate items seems to be created first is when a fresh item in the Worklist is log and second is whenever the item have been escalated to its priority. But this is not happening in all of my run.

    Is there anything I am missing or need to set up for this.

    Hi ginoskie,

    If it is intermittent, see if there is anything similar between the items it does occur on i.e. is it from the same process definition, the same user, the same activity, etc - something must be similar between the items.

    I'm not sure what you mean by: "first is when a fresh item in the Worklist is log and second is whenever the item have been escalated to its priority" - are you saying that the second item is added when an Escalation fires?

    Worklist items are ONLY created by the K2.AddWorklistItem method call you'll typically see in the code behind a Client Event - there is no way that another worklist item can be created - especially not with the same Date/Timestamp.

    It could be a 'displaying' problem.

    Where do you see this?  In the K2.net 2003 Workspace's Worklist?  Have you got any Filters defined?  Have you got Out-Of-Office installed?

    Take a look in K2.net 2003 Service Manager how many worklist items are defined for this specific Process Instance or Activity instance.

    I would highly recommend opening a formal support ticket for this problem.
