K2 blackpearl™, the centerpiece of the K2 platform, has been updated with the all latest fixes and
now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008! K2 has released K2
blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) as a full product install. For customers already using K2 blackpearl
0807, the K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.450) - KB000450 is available to get your system up
to date with all the latest fixes for the product.

This latest 0807 release focuses on greater stability and better performance than ever before. It
includes various performance increases and memory usage optimization for the K2 blackpearl
Workflow Server, along with all platform updates since its release.

Choosing between K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) and K2 blackpearl 0807 Update
(4.8210.2.450) – KB000450

K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0)

K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) is a full installation of K2 blackpearl 0807, and can be used either
for a new installation, or to upgrade previous versions of K2 blackpearl predating 0807 (i.e. K2
blackpearl SP1 and K2 blackpearl 0803). This full installation contains all the latest hotfixes since
the release of K2 blackpearl and has support for Microsoft Windows Sever 2008 and Microsoft SQL
Server 2008. NOTE: K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) will not update any previous version of K2
blackpearl 0807.

Please take the time to review the latest K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) Release Notes and
product documentation before installing 0807 to ensure you understand the enhancements, fixed
issues, and outstanding known issues.

K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.450) – KB000450

K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.450) – KB000450 is applicable to customers who are already
on the K2 blackpearl 0807 platform. It will update your system with all the latest fixes made
available to K2 blackpearl 0807.
NOTE: K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.450) – KB000450 will not upgrade an older versions of
K2 blackpearl (i.e. K2 blackpearl SP1 and K2 blackpearl 0803).

It is also important to note that K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.3.0) already contains all the latest fixes, 
and the KB450 Update need not be applied to it.

Please take the time to review the associated Knowledge Base Article before installing the KB450
Update to ensure you understand the enhancements, fixed issues, and outstanding known issues.

Microsoft Windows 2008 and Microsoft SQL 2008 support
K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.30) is now supported on the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 platform,
along with support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008. You can now install K2 blackpearl 0807
(4.8210.3.0) on either Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, both 32 or 64-bit platforms,
with either SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 as your data provider.

Migration Utility (4.8331.3.0)
An updated Migration Utility will be released soon to support the new K2 blackpearl 0807
(4.8210.3.0) and (4.8210.2.450) platforms. Migration is the physical migration of data from K2.net
2003 to K2 blackpearl. This is a server-side, runtime functionality enabled by a separate utility that

migrates database records from K2.net 2003 to K2 blackpearl. This migration utility also contains
all fixes made since its initial release.

K2 connect for SAP (4.8276.3.0)

The role of K2 connect is to provide user friendly tooling for a developer to interact with the SAP BAPI
infrastructure. This updated version of K2 connect for SAP (4.8276.3.0) has support for both
Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008, and requires the latest K2 blackpearl 0807
release.
