Day 1 from Devconnections

Well this evening marked the opening of the exhibitor hall and the attendees were out in full force. We had some pretty good traffic with people coming by and talking to us. Rudi was our demo man showing people how to create process in MOSS and then QUICKLY exporting and opening them in Visual Studio for some modifications.

I was really looking forward to this session since I was curious as to what the questions would be like. One of the things I have noticed in the past 12 months was how people questions slowing began to change from "who are you?" and Why do I need you now that Microsoft is coming out with workflow.

I did not get a single question last night like the above examples, where before that was the most common. Last nights questions were.

  1. How do you help me with SharePoint?
  2. How can SmartObjects help me?
  3. How could I use you guys to…

I talked to people from all over which was a bit of a surprise as I did not think this conference would be that big of a draw. There were people here from Netherlands, UK, Ireland, and even people from such faraway places as New Jersey.

I have not been able to attend any of the session yet, I plan on doing that today, with a focus on the SharePoint tracks. I will report any cool learnings.
