K2 INSIDERs are leaders in the global K2 community. They are K2 advocates, eager to share their expertise and build and enhance the K2 community efforts as a whole.
K2 INSIDERs represent a broad base of skills, experiences and cultures. They come from a variety of backgrounds and hold a range of diverse positions. INSIDERs tend to seek out new technology and actively communicate their experiences and thoughts to others. Through their various community activities they will strive to help others solve problems and discover new capabilities and get more value from their deployments.
What
Primarily the K2 INSIDER program will serve to help us build and foster a passionate thriving community. The INSIDER program will also serve as a vital feedback link from the community at large into our sales, marketing and product organizations. This program will recognize those who stand out as staunch supporters of K2, the BPM and workflow ecosystem, and the power that these can bring to a company.
Why
One of our core goals is to establish and grow a thriving community of individuals who regularly share their experiences, passion, excitement and feedback on K2. INSIDERs will evangelize the power and value of K2 and enable our worldwide base of customers and partners.
The INSIDER program will:
- seek to identify and enable the influencers in our community through a consistent plan of interaction
- improve customer connection and satisfaction
- recognize more customers for their work and take feedback from them to improve the quality of our product and their experiences
- drive community, passion and product excellence.

Expectations
Because INSIDERs are typically chosen based on their past experiences with K2 and their interaction with K2 personnel, and because INSIDERs are not K2 employees, the only expectations of an INSDIER are professionalism and adherence to a code of conduct.

Q: How are INSIDERs selected?
A: The inaugural class of INSIDERs was chosen based on a series of nominations collected from K2 personnel. Each candidate was interviewed to gauge skill sets, interest in the program, and to ensure there was a diverse mix of backgrounds and geographies.
Q: Are the INSIDERs experts in all areas of K2 software?
A: No. Each INSDIER has significant experience with the software and often has in-depth knowledge. But they may not be experts in all areas.
Q: Do you consider INSIDERs representatives of K2?
A: No. INSIDERs are not K2 employees, nor do they speak on behalf of the company. Each INSIDER is a third-party advocate who has graciously agreed to take part in helping their fellow K2 community members.
Q: Are INSIDERs paid?
A: No. The program does provide a few small benefits, but INSIDERs do not receive money for their participation.
Q: How long does INSIDER status apply?
A: The INSIDER award status lasts for one calendar year. During this time, participants are free to refer to themselves as INSIDERs. This term length may change as the program develops, based on feedback from the INSIDERs or the community at large.
